There are two kinds of mucus you may observe, Peak type and Non Peak type mucus. All mucus is fertile. It is important to understand the differences between the two types of mucus for charting and interpretation purposes. For easy reference, the definitions for Peak type and Non Peak type mucus are printed on the inside of your Justisse Method chart.

Peak mucus is cervical mucus. Peak mucus is clear, stretchy, or lubricative.

Non-peak mucus is a combination of cervical mucus and vaginal cell slough. Non Peak mucus is NOT clear, stretchy, or lubricative.
